Terms of Service
- The app provides fitness information and a workout log. It is not medical advice and does not replace in-person guidance from a doctor, physical therapist or coach.
- If you have heart disease, high blood pressure, a recent injury or surgery, or similar conditions, talk to a doctor before you start training.
- Stop immediately if you feel chest pain, dizziness, sharp pain or numbness while training.
- Camera-based form analysis has measurement error and is for reference only.
Welcome to HOLO·FIT ("the app"). These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of the app, Liu Chao ("we"), about your use of the app. By checking the consent box or using the app, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If this English version and the Chinese version differ, the Chinese version prevails.
1. The service
The app offers the following features for free: 3D exercise demonstrations and muscle explanations, equipment guidance, live camera form comparison, a workout log, training plan suggestions, a muscle volume and recovery dashboard, and multi-device sync when signed in. We may change, add or remove features as needed.
2. Accounts
- During the beta, you can browse the exercise library and 3D demos without an account; training, food and other features need you to sign in and have beta access. To sign in, use a mainland China phone number (text verification code) or an email address (email verification code). Each phone number or email address corresponds to one account.
- Keep your phone, email account and verification codes safe, and never share a code with anyone. Actions taken through your account are treated as your own.
- Once signed in, you stay signed in on that device until the sign-in expires, you sign out, or you choose "Sign out on all devices" in Settings. On a shared or someone else's device, tick "Shared device" so you're signed out when the browser closes.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time. Your cloud data is then deleted and cannot be recovered.
3. Health and safety
- Exercise explanations, training plans, weight suggestions and recovery estimates are based on published exercise science and general training principles for healthy adults. They are not tailored to your specific condition and are not a medical diagnosis or treatment advice.
- Before training, talk to a doctor if you have any of the following: cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, pregnancy or recent childbirth, a recent injury or surgery, joint or spine conditions, medication that affects heart rate or blood pressure, or if you're unsure whether exercise is right for you.
- Start with weights you can control, use safety equipment (such as safety bars or a spotter), and make sure the equipment and space are safe.
- Stop immediately if you experience chest pain or tightness, shortness of breath, dizziness, sharp pain, swelling or numbness while training, and seek medical care if symptoms persist.
- Camera-based form analysis estimates body pose from a single camera and is affected by camera angle, lighting, clothing and obstructions, so it may be inaccurate. It cannot replace in-person observation by a professional.
- Understanding these risks, you decide for yourself what and how hard to train.
4. Acceptable use
Use the app lawfully and normally. Do not interfere with the service, try to access other people's data, or use automated means to call the service in bulk (for example, sending verification codes in bulk). If you do, we may restrict or stop providing the service to the accounts involved.
Your training buddies can see your nickname and avatar. Don't use anything illegal, obscene or infringing, don't impersonate others, and don't put phone numbers, emails or links in your nickname. Buddies are for people who know each other to keep each other training. If someone bothers you, you can leave, block or report at any time; we review reports and may restrict the nickname, avatar or buddy features of accounts that break these rules.
5. Intellectual property
The app's interface design, movement analysis software and written content belong to us. The app uses third-party open-source components and assets, including three.js (MIT License), MediaPipe (Apache 2.0 License) and an Adobe Mixamo character model, which belong to their respective owners. The workout data you record belongs to you.
6. Changes to and suspension of the service
The app is currently free. We do our best to keep it running reliably, but it may be interrupted temporarily due to maintenance, network failures, our cloud provider, or events beyond our control. If we plan to stop operating the app, we will announce it in the app in advance and give you time to export your data.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for harm resulting from not following the health and safety guidance in section 3, or from your own physical condition or improper training. We remain liable as required by law for personal injury or property loss caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will show the new date on this page; for significant changes we will also notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree, you can stop using the app and delete your account.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if that fails, it may be brought before the competent people's court in Jianghan District, Wuhan.
